Then Swift Publisher, desktop publisher for Mac, can deliver. Packing a streamlined interface and powerful layout and design tools, Swift Publisher for Mac provides all you need to create effective desktop publishing materials, such as flyers, brochures, catalogs, letterheads, booklets, newsletters, calendars, posters, menus, cards, Facebook. Lucidpress offers the power of Microsoft Publisher and more on either a. Things right where you'd like with natural, intuitive motions, then edit them with ease.

Since Office is a Microsoft product, that's more a question for them.
I never recall Office for Mac including a version of Publisher. Desktop publishing and graphic design has been the domain of the Mac platform since its inception. With so many Desktop Publishing programs available for the Mac I'm sure MS didn't find developing Publisher for the Mac a prosperous proposition. Office for Mac was designed from the ground up as Mac PPC software. It isn't a ported Windows program. Although Office for Mac and Office for Windows share many of the same feature sets, they are two entirely different programs. The promised upgrade of Office for Mac for later this year is probably an improvement and more importantly will be a Universal binary, but I seriously doubt it will include Publisher.

Site one: http://online2pdf.com

With this site you upload a Microsoft publisher file and the site automatically converts it and then you download it via your Safari web browser as a PDF file.

1. Go to online2pdf.com

2. Click on the browse button and upload your publisher file.

3. The file will automatically download as a safari download.

4. Click on the download and it will open in preview and you can print it.

This has Google ads along the right hand sidebar so I assume it is funded by Google advertising.

Site two: http://www.publishertopdf.com

This site is similar.

1. Go to publishertopdf.com

2. Drag your file on this icon to upload it.

3. When the orange download box appears, click on it. This can take a few minutes for large files.

This second site doesn’t have any advertising.

I have tested both these sites and they both worked for the file I was converting which was a four-page document including text and images. I couldn’t see that one site worked any better than the other.

Thanks to Gordon’s comment below, here’s another site that looks great and handles bigger files:

Thanks so much! I don’t understand why Publisher isn’t Mac-compatible when most Office products are.

Oh, my goodness! I am so grateful for this! I have so many Publisher files that I haven’t been able to see since I bought my Mac in 2017; most of them being poems I’ve written. This will make it so easy to see them once again. Thank you, thank you!!!

Lauren,

The office suite is molded to the Mac by the Mac Business Unit at MS. They do so because those tools have little competition in the marketplace. When it comes to design functions, most of those on the mac are far surpassed by the Adobe product line – InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. So MS doesn’t bother porting Publisher to the mac because it can’t compete. Simple cost-benefit analysis.

Thank you so much! Online2pdf worked like a charm.

In looking at the two sites offered here, both seem to have file size limitations. One actually states it at 100MB while the other just fails to work (I was parsing a 142MB file to PDF from PUB).

A better working site, for me, has turned out to be https://www.zamzar.com/
It actually appears to be a better site all the way around as it easily parsed my larger files and offers several conversion file types.

Question – Our Creative department works on Mac’s but one of our clients needs files in Publisher (they work on PC’s) Is there any Mac software that will let you save as a Publisher file?

ReplyWaynesays:October 16, 2019 at 9:19 pm

Not that I know of.
